Why Privacy
Alertz lets you stay safe without giving up your privacy. We don’t track, collect data, or store anything that identifies you — your alerts belong to you.

Why “Privacy-First” Is More
Than a Statement
No personal sign-up info
You can register with just a username — No email, No phone number, No government ID.
No trackers
We don’t run ad trackers, analytics pixels, or hidden scripts that follow your activity.
Local relevance, not surveillance
Alertz uses area NEIGHBORHOODS (not GPS tracking) to connect you to incidents near you without ever tracking your location changes.
End-to-end encryption
All reports and data are encrypted both in transit and at rest, ensuring total data safety.
The Permissions We Ask For and Why
We only request permissions that help you use Alertz safely and effectively.
Location Access
Your location is used only to fetch local alerts never stored, tracked, or shared. We don’t build location history or connect you to your user profiles.
Notifications
We only send safety-related notifications. No ads, no spam, no marketing.
Microphone Access
Audio is captured only when you press record and never in the background. All metadata is removed before storing.
Camera Access
The camera activates only when you choose, and all media uploaded has personal metadata automatically stripped before it’s saved.
All permissions are visible, optional, and revocable at any time from your device settings.
Why You Can Trust Alertz
No third-party data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or exchange user data.
Transparent design
Every feature you see serves one goal; safety, not surveillance
